The African Skills and Innovation Network (ASIN) is a continental platform dedicated to advancing skills development, innovation capacity, and higher education reform across Africa. We work at the intersection of academia, policy, industry, and civil society to shape responsive education systems, strengthen research ecosystems, and promote inclusive growth.
Our Mission is to foster a collaborative and future-focused network that equips African learners, institutions, and communities with the knowledge, tools, and platforms they need to thrive in a fast-changing global economy.
ASIN's vision is very simple: to help develop a resilient, skilled, and innovation-driven Africa, led by empowered universities and supported by forward-thinking public policy and private sector investment.
Support universities and training institutions to design and deliver programmes that align with labour market needs.
Facilitate the adoption of digital learning tools and platforms that enhance teaching, collaboration, and access.
An annual meeting for educators, employers, innovators, and policymakers to discuss trends and priorities in Africa's knowledge economy.
Promote the creation of innovation hubs and research clusters within African universities.
An online space for networking, sharing curriculum materials, research findings, and collaborative projects among member institutions.
ASIN publishes the African Journal of Education, Skills and Innovation (AJESI), a peer-reviewed journal that focuses on advancing scholarship in education, skills development, and innovation in Africa.
Whether you are a policymaker, educator, researcher, student, or entrepreneur, ASIN invites you to join us in shaping Africa’s future through collaboration, research, and action.
